A 3-D virtual experience for "The Cave"

Antarctica is a virtual experience created for a three-dimensional reality simulator called "The Cave." The experience begins like a traditional nature documentary, detailing the remote terrain of a mysterious continent. The images snap in two and dissolve into an imagined, 3-D landscape comprised entirely of text. The audience is invited to explore a lagoon of icebergs built from fragments of dreams, memories, and snippets of sexual first-times. Then, the landscape shifts, and the audience is surrounded by arctic winds, calving icebergs, and the moans of shifting glaciers. Bits of an imagined journey combine with quotes from Copernicus' De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium to form a large orbital mass, a mobile, that mines secrets from underneath the frozen ice.
